What happens when you leave your comfort zone and spend several months living and volunteering in another country?
In this episode, Alejandro from Spain and Patrick from Romania, European Solidarity Corps volunteers at Youth Council Prilep, share their experiences of volunteering, living abroad and becoming part of a new community. They talk about adapting to everyday life in Prilep, working with an international team, contributing their own ideas and discovering how different experiences can shape personal and professional growth.
The conversation also explores democracy and participation, intercultural learning, sustainability, environmental responsibility and solidarity. From Patrick’s Erasmus+ experience in Portugal and Alejandro’s previous ESC experience in Romania and Poland to their daily lives in Prilep, they reflect on how international mobility can encourage young people to become more active, adaptable and connected.
