Media and information literacy is the process of empowering people to seek, evaluate, use, and create information effectively to achieve their personal, social, occupational, and educational goals.
The advantages of media and information literacy are easier to communicate certain information in certain conditions, people don’t need to have good memory they can just rely on reading or writing. But there are some disadvantages like consumes many resources, causes people to not talk much and become bad speakers and doesn’t really solve any problem. There is one massive difference between media and information literacy. Information literacy describes identifying a need for information and then locating, evaluating, and using the data to
solve a problem. On the other hand, media literacy is the ability to access, change and produce media in many different forms.
Media and information literacy is a still that has been a part for decades, but its importance is on all – time high, not only does it allow students to analyze media in their lives, but it also prepares them for college or careers.
